“‘There is more than enough room in My Father’s home. ... If you had really known Me, you would know who My Father is.’” (John 14:2, 7 NLT)
Why is there more than enough room in Your Father’s house? Why isn’t there just enough?
I believe it is because You are a God of abundance. . . but also that You never stop hoping.
What if You created enough space in heaven for every single person that walked the earth (past, present, and future)? What if, though You knew some would not choose You, You made room for them in the hope that they still would?
You are an ever-pursuing and a never-relenting God. What if this is an extension and reflection of that?
These verses don’t clearly say that, and as far as I know, there’s no proof that this is the case. But knowing Your heart and who You are ...
You love the world; You love every single person. And You never give up on those You love.
You give people chance after chance after chance to come to You. Your mercy is fresh and new every morning. You don’t stop reaching and pursuing and loving anyone, ever. Not until he is dead and sent to hell do You consider his fate fixed.
So is it too much to believe that You, in faith, prepared a place for everyone to be with You in heaven? It is Your will that NONE should perish. And though You know (or can know) the current reality, You call things as not as though they were.
You speak light to darkness and life to death. You believe and create the impossible.
I could be wrong. Perhaps this is heresy, or simply too much. But I believe this is Your heart. Hmm.
